Brad Hunt has more than 20 years of experience managing insurance systems that track and model all aspects of risk identification, operations and claims management data. Using sophisticated analytical tools to identify and characterize emerging risk trends, Brad developed innovative solutions to address these risks, saving his clients millions of dollars in expenses. His benchmarking product for worker injury rates in acute care continues to be used for several initiatives in the states of Ohio, Washington and Alaska. Historically, Brad focused on worker and patient safety in acute care, long-term care and hospice risk issues.
Two engagements highlight Brad’s efforts. He consulted with the Ohio Hospital Association during 2012-2018 on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services—Partnership for Patients (CMS PfP) on the “Integration of Worker and Patient Safety.” From 2015 to 2018, he was the subject matter expert on the culture of safety for the Washington State Hospital Association, again under auspices of the CMS PfP. In 2014 he was awarded the William C. Kelly Safety Leadership Award by the Ohio Hospital Association.
Brad is Chief Operating Officer of PRA Global, LLC. The company—founded in 2016 by experienced administrators, entrepreneurs, legal and insurance experts—developed Pro Mal Insurance that helps all doctors and nurses with two key offerings. First, a cannabis-specific medical malpractice insurance policy which provides U.S.-based coverage in spite of today’s legally conflicted marketplace (Nevada, Conditional Certificate of Authority). Second, cannabis-specific evidence-based education to provide critical cannabis knowledge and guidelines for effective cannabis treatment and management for doctors to learn today.
Brad also serves as President of ADVENT Academy, LLC a joint venture of PRA Global and ACGroup Inc. which was established by the Knox family of physicians. Their focus is on providing patients and clinicians with information about cannabis therapeutics and cannabinoid medicine. In 2015, the Drs. Knox founded the American Cannabinoid Clinics with the mission to deliver precision cannabinoid medicine to every patient looking for a personalized approach to healing. The Drs. Knox then conceptualized ADVENT Academy as a tool to train and develop a workforce of healthcare professionals knowledgeable in the endocannabinoid system and cannabinoid care.
Brad resides in northeast Ohio with his wife of 21 years Catherine and their children Daisy, Cylas and Wylie.
