Kaylena is a proud US Navy Veteran. After being medically discharged from the military with severe PTSD, she moved back to northern California where she was born and raised. Being numb from antidepressants, she was searching for an alternative to prescription drugs.
Kaylena has a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design and several certifications and licenses including doula, yoga instructor, and commercial real estate agent.
Most important to Kaylena is being a mom to her precious daughter. Throughout her pursuit in life, she continued to suffer from PTSD and realized that it was not being well managed by antidepressants. As she searched for a new method of tackling the PTSD, she was introduced to the cannabis while living in Oregon. With many years of researching and becoming educated about the health benefits of cannabis, she was able to productively manage her PTSD and her passion became focused on educating the public and helping her fellow Veterans suffering from PTSD succeed after service.
She is now the CEO & Founder of MJ Tours California as well as the non profit, MJ Meds4VETS. Her sole focus is to combine the best pieces and parts from her education, certificates, knowledge, resources, and personal experience to create meaningful and life changing experiences within the Cannabis industry for others to find benefits.
MJ Tours provides unforgettable experiences, with a unique glimpse into the Cannabis industry from the time a seed is planted to the time you purchase it at the dispensary. Tour participants have the opportunity to become educated but also have fun, unique and exciting tour stops at San Diego’s top craft beer breweries, cannabis dispensaries, restaurants, and local wineries. A fantastic way to have a creative date night, corporate event, girl’s night out, or a celebration for any occasion.
Her ultimate goal is to promote and build awareness of the health benefits of Cannabis. Every tour contains an educational element so that guests are exposed to the different beneficial properties of cannabis.
Kaylena’s journey with PTSD was positively impacted by the use of Cannabis products. She continues to help break the negative stigma about cannabis and shed light on the medical aspects that cannabis has to offer.
